Ghana Captain Asamoah Gyan Also Dropped By Coach Kwesi Appiah

The Captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan has been dropped by Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of Ghana’s World Cup Qualifier Match against the Cranes of Uganda.

The list released a week earlier indicated Gyan as being part of the team. However information according to mynewsgh.com indicates that the Ghana captain has been dropped.

The reason being that Turkish Club Kayserispor wrote a letter to the Black Stars Coach excusing the player from his squad so as to allow Gyan recover from an injury sustained.

This means that three key Black Stars players will absent from the squad to play Uganda – Asamoah Gyan, Dede Ayew & Jordan Ayew.
